A huge variety of tile material, tile colors, and tile sizes are offered by Floor Crafter’s distributors; so if you cannot find what you are looking for, please ask us. Chances are, we can get it for you; it’s just impossible for us to list all the numerous different types and colors of tile and stone on one website. You can go to one of our distributors sites and browse through their samples to get ideas if you like. Just ask us to refer one to you according to what type of tile you are shopping for.
Unlike most types of flooring, if done properly, tile will last forever and never need to be refinished, re-coated or sanded. It is the lowest-maintenance flooring available today. Even laminate flooring tends to scratch and wear over time. A good quality tile will outlast any other type of flooring.
If you are considering tile flooring, tile countertops or wall tile, please consult our on-staff Interior Designer for recommendations on what will work best for your particular application, tastes and project. It won’t cost you any extra to talk with our interior and exterior building materials expert, but it may cost you extra if you don’t. Or you may not get the results you want.
For brief descriptions and the pros and cons of the different tile materials, please see our article on types of tile, marble and stone.
Doing tile in the Southern Wisconsin area can be a bit of a challenge. Just because a tile company can install tile does not mean they know what they are doing. The climate in Wisconsin is challenging for any type of building materials, which is why it will save you money in the long run to hire a tile company that has experience with what works in our harsh wet climate and what doesn’t. The tile will probably be fine, but there are many different types of grout and ways to mix grout that are not suitable for all climates.
